Avril Lavigne, 30, announced that she and Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger, 40, were amicably separating after two years of marriage on Sept. 2 — but was there trouble on the horizon before then? “Chad came in with a woman and a security guard. He was down in the party pit by the stage, definitely out in clear, plain view – not in the private back VIP areas,” an insider tells Us Weekly of the singer. “He was saying that there aren’t that many places for him to go in Miami, he was happy to be there and be chill. He and the girl had a great time, they were dancing.” The insider adds that he stayed at the club until 5 a.m. While Avril announced the news of their split on Sept. 2, it appears that the singers had gone their separate ways even before then!






Chad and Avril also hit some bumps in their marriage after being married for just one year. Chad didn’t even celebrate Avril’s 30th birthday with her, and there was a time she wasn’t even wearing her huge 17-carat ring!
